How Do You Hang A Curio Shelf?
When you hang a curio shelf, you want to consider the weight of the things you’ll place in it, as well as where you’ll display the shelf in your home. How you hang your curio shelf depends on how securely you need to attach it to the wall. Turn your curio shelf over and look at the hooks or keyholes on the back. Use a level line and draw a straight line up to the top of the curio shelf so you can see exactly where to place your nails or wall anchors on the wall. Use a pencil and a light hand so you don’t damage the shelf. Find a wall stud near where you want to hang your curio shelf. Make sure at least one side of the shelf is secured to a stud so it’s not prone to shifting or falling. Use a wall anchor for the other side if it’s not long enough to hit another stud. Hold the curio shelf in place and set the level on top. Adjust for level and make a small pencil mark in each spot where you need to add a nail or wall anchor. Hammer in your nails or wall anchors and hang your curio shelf.
