How Do You Hang Globe Ceiling Light Fixtures?

0

Hanging a new light fixture is an easy project for any do-it-yourselfer. Light fixtures only rely on three connections, two live ones and a single ground, so you don’t need any advanced electrical knowledge to accomplish this task. Globe light fixtures are a popular choice and can be up and operating in a matter of minutes. Before you begin, make sure the power is off to the room you are working on. Screw the mounting plate for your new fixture on to the existing electrical box in the ceiling. Your new globe light will come with its own bracket complete with screws and nuts. Strip the ends of the wires coming from the ceiling with a pair of wire strippers. Expose about 1 1/2 inch of the copper to make a solid connection to the fixture. Connect the fixture wires to the ceiling wires. Simply match color to color for a correct connection. Secure the connections with the wire nuts that came with your new fixture. Attach the fixture to the mounting plate, using the screws that came with you
