How Do You Have A Gullah/Geechee Oyster Roast?
Have a great time with family and friends enjoying succulent oysters. Turn oven on to highest setting. Cover bottom of roaster with water; no more than a cup. Add oysters, a couple of layers deep. Cover roaster then put in the oven. “Roast” for 6-8 minutes (less time if you like them really juicy, more time if you like them a little firmer) until they open up. Spread out newspaper on table. Carefully empty oysters onto newspaper. Enjoy with lemon juice or cocktail sauce.
