Although at one point in time you needed to remove the food from the container, it is possible to now leave the food in the Styrofoam container and heat the food up. Look on the bottom of your Styrofoam container. There is a symbol that states if it is microwave-safe, just like on a plastic container. If the bottom of the container does not say microwave-safe you cannot heat up the food in the dish. Place the Styrofoam container in a microwave. If there is a lid on the container, it is fine to close the lid over the food. Set the timer on the microwave. If there is a sensor reheat button, feel free to use this.
