How Do You Hide A Train Table Under A Bed?
A model railroading continues to be one of the most satisfying hobbies for young and old. Lack of floor space can dampen enthusiasm and, in some cases, mar the enjoyment of this wonderful hobby altogether. But with proper set-up, an entire model train easily can be stowed under a bed. Disconnect track sections if the track system spans two separate mounting boards, only disconnecting the sections that bridge the seam of the two boards. Remove the plywood or drywall train-track surface from its resting table. Typically, the train tracks are mounted on 4×8 foot panels. An average model train set consists of two sheets positioned side-by-side. Drop a 4×8 foot piece of plastic onto the floor next to the bed and position one of the train track panels onto the plastic. The plastic functions as a smooth surface, permitting the panel to be slid under the bed with minimum resistance from carpet or to prevent scratching a wooden floor.
