How Do You Hook Up A DVD/VCR Player & Satellite Box To An LCD TV?
Setting up a DVD/VCR player with a flat screen LCD TV and satellite receiver box requires two sets of standard audio/video cables to connect all the equipment with the DVD/VCR player in the middle. The DVD/VCR acts as a pass-through component for enjoying satellite programming on TV, or it can be used to record programs on videotape, and watch tapes and discs. The connections take less than five minutes. Plug a set of composite cables into the AV OUT jacks on the back of the satellite box. The yellow plug mates with the yellow video jack. The white and red plugs connect to the left and right Audio OUT jacks. Attach the other end of the cables to the AV IN jacks on the back of the DVD/VCR player to transmit the signals from the satellite box. Connect a second set of cables to the AV OUT jacks on the DVD/VCR player using the color-coded yellow, red and white plugs.
