How Do You Hook Up A VCR & DVD Player To A TV With Directv?
If you want to have the ability to use a VCR, DVD player and DirecTV cable box all in the same entertainment system, you’ll have to hook all of these devices up to your TV. They must each be hooked into one of the many audio/video inputs on your television; however, they do not get hooked into one another. As far as the TV is concerned, they are all separate devices. Connect the audio and video cables that came with your VCR to an audio/video input on the back of your television set. One end of the cable plugs into the outputs on the VCR while the other plugs into the appropriately colored inputs on the back of the TV. Note the label for the video input you’re using for this device, as you’ll need to tune the television to it in order to see the images and hear audio when using this component.
