How Do You Inflate Bicycle Tires With A Portable Air Compressor?

0

If your bicycle tires aren’t inflated properly, the bike won’t perform well and the tires will wear faster. It’s easy to keep them inflated and running smoothly with a portable air compressor. (You should have one in your car’s trunk, anyway, in case you get a flat.) Here’s how to do it: Get a portable air compressor. You can find one at Lowe’s or Home Depot, or any car parts store for about $30. Less if you buy online. Make sure it has a jack that will fit into your car’s electrical outlet. Roll your bike forward until the valve stems on the bike tires are at the nine o’clock position. Lean your bike on its kickstand, or against the wall if it doesn’t have one. Unscrew the caps from the valve stems. Put them somewhere you won’t lose them! Plug the compressor’s jack into your car’s electrical outlet. Turn the key in the ignition. Clip the hose attachment of the compressor to the valve stem on the bike tire and tighten until you don’t hear any hissing. That means the connection is tight
