If anyone else reading this is actually considering a way of injecting fentanyl: A 50mcg duragesic patch contains 5.1mg of fentanyl. The bioavailability from a duragesic patch is 92%, while injection is of course 100%. 5.1x.92=4.69mg. 4.69mg is equal to taking 938mg of oxycodone orally or equavilant to injecting 1060mg of oxycodone at once. Even a 12.5mcg patch would be like injecting 265mg of oxycodone at once. There is a reason that pharmacuetical companies that handle pure powdered fentanyl have to wear biosuits, because even skin contact with it would kill the handlers.
