• Remove the sliding screen door from the opening and lay the door on a workshop table. Inspect the the screen and make a mark on the door as to the location of the pet door. Usually the door is installed at the bottom and closest to the door jamb. • Review the instructions for the pet door. • Re Screen the door using an aluminum screen if necessary. • Place the template of the pet door where required and place a 3/8″ thick piece of 8″ x 10″ under the pet door. • Cut the required opening as listed on the instructions and using a rubber mallet, hammer the snap in piece that sandwiches the screen into place. • What the instructions do not tell you is about the plywood, used to keep the door and the screen on the same plain while hammering in the snap on section. While the door is off, lubricate the wheels with a non oil spray, clean out your track and re-install the door. Make sure the pet door is locked, as shown in the instructions, before sliding the door back and forth as it will hav
