How Do You Install A Safety 1St Swing N Lock Gate?
If you have young children or pets, you may want to install a Safety 1st Swing ‘N Lock Gate to prevent them from accessing certain areas of your home. You can install this at the bottom or top of a staircase or in doorways. The gate fits openings from 26 to 42 inches wide. Mount the gate by permanently installing it with the enclosed hardware or pressure mount it so that it can be moved from room to room as needed. Position the gate between the two walls where you wish to mount the gate. The handle should be located on the top. Press the button on the handle and lift up. Turn the knobs on the panels in a counterclockwise motion to loosen the gate. Slide the panels apart until the gate fits in the opening. Turn the knobs in a clockwise direction to tighten the panels to the correct width. Press down on the handle to lock the gate into place. The pressure bars lock the gate.
