How Do You Install An Outside TV Antenna?
An outdoor TV antenna is installed on a mast, usually on your roof. Installing an outside TV antenna requires four basic steps. The antenna needs to be assembled; coaxial cable needs to be attached; the antenna must be mounted onto the mast; and the cable is then routed to the television system and connected. You could use a friend to help once you are on the roof. Assemble the antenna. Use the hardware from the mounting kit. On the ground, insert the U-bolt into the mast clamp and then into the main boom. Press the large end plugs into the main boom and tighten the lock nuts through the backup plate. Connect the coaxial cable to the antenna. Again, this step should be performed on the ground. Thread the transformer through the antenna’s strain-relief tab. Slide the spade terminals on both sides of the boom and then secure them with the wing nuts and washers. Screw the cable’s F-connector onto the matching transformer.
