However, many audio enthusiasts will replace components of the factory stereo, including the rear speakers, with high-performance aftermarket equipment. The back speakers are often one of the first sets of speakers that drivers change, since aftermarket speakers usually have improved bass response. Step 1 Open the trunk of the vehicle, and crawl in on your back so that you can see the underneath of the vehicle’s rear deck. You’ll see two speakers mounted underneath the rear deck. Step 2 Remove the four screws surrounding each of the speakers. These screws don’t hold the speaker in, but instead secure the grille that covers each of the speakers on the inside of the car. Step 3 Go into the back seat of the car. Pull each of the grilles off the rear deck by lifting straight up from the speaker. This reveals each of the speakers.
