How Do You Install Bullitt Mustang Brake Pads?
There are three main indicators of when it is time to install new brake pads on your Bullitt Mustang. First, the lining on the pad has become thinner than the backing plate. Second, you can hear the brake pads squealing every time you apply the brakes when driving. And third, you can see obvious damage on the pad lining. Fortunately, installing the new pads will be a simple procedure but make sure you have a disc brake piston tool if you need to work on the rear brake assemblies. Park your Mustang on a level surface and shift the transmission to Neutral (N). Draw at least half the brake fluid from the brake master cylinder using a clean turkey baster and a waste container for disposal. Leave the master cylinder cap loose. Loosen the wheel lug nuts on the front or rear wheel assemblies using a lug wrench, depending on the set of brake pads you are installing.
