How Do You Install Car Corner Windows?
Years ago, cars used to come with vent windows in the corner of the front doors. They were used for extra venting or to drop your cigarette ashes out of. If you have one of these cars and the corner window breaks, it can be inconvenient. It’s not fun to replace the window, but it can be done with the right tools and patience. In this case, the project vehicle is a 1987 Chevrolet pickup, but the process is the same on other vehicles as well. Roll down the main window using the window crank or power window switch. Open the door and unscrew the door panel from the door using the Phillips-head screwdriver. There are screws around the perimeter of the panel and on the door handle. Once these are unbolted, the door panel can be removed and set to the side. Unscrew the top screw in the corner window, located in the top of the door jam on the door. Pull the corner window out by tilting towards the main window and sliding the assembly out along the angled portion of the door frame. Slide the re
