If you are reasonably handy with tools, it’s worth the effort to install a ceiling fan light fixture. Here are some general steps to get you through the process. Go to your fuse box and shut off power to the fixture you are replacing. Fasten the wires and hardware for the fan’s light fixture. If the fixture came pre-installed, you can skip this step. Remove the light fixture currently in place. Make sure you keep track of the wires coming down from the ceiling. There should be one black or red, one white and one green.
