How Do You Install Coil Over Springs?
Coil over springs are used in many applications. You will find coil over springs anywhere from drag racing to kit cars. When you have a set of coil over springs installed, it can benefit the way your vehicle handles, and the amount of traction the tires get. You can take your vehicle to your local mechanic to have these springs installed, or you can just as easily do it yourself if you want to save money. Remove the shocks and springs. Jack the vehicle up, and remove the rear shocks with a 1/2-inch drive impact wrench and matching socket. Lower the vehicle onto jack stands to keep the rear in the air. You will now be able to pull out the stock rear springs of the vehicle by simply pulling on them with your hands. Remove the front shocks and springs. Jack the vehicle up in the front, and then lower it onto jack stands to keep the front in the air. The entire vehicle should be in the air and on jack stands at this time.
