The dryer exhausts the moisture from your clothes through the exhaust hose and to the outside dryer vent. When the dryer hose becomes clogged with lint, the dryer takes longer to dry your clothes. This is because the moist air is recirculated back into the dryer drum. Remove your old dryer hose and install a flexible aluminum dryer hose to your dryer and vent pipe. Unplug the dryer from the electrical outlet and move the dryer away from the wall so you can work behind the dryer. Remove the clamp that secures the old dryer hose to the exhaust port on the back of the dryer with a Phillips-head screwdriver. Pull the hose off the dryer exhaust port. Loosen the clamp on the other end of the dryer hose that secures the hose to the outside dryer vent pipe. Pull the hose off the vent pipe and discard the hose. Clean the inside of the dryer exhaust port and the outside vent pipe with a lint brush. Remove all of the lint and any debris inside the exhaust port and pipe. Inspect the outside vent p
