How Do You Install Glass Into Kitchen Cabinets?
Glass inserts in kitchen cabinets are beautiful and functional. A glass insert allows you to easily see what is in the cabinets. Glass inserts also allow you to showcase or fine china. Homeowners can easily convert their wood panel cabinet doors to glass inserts. Use a screwdriver to remove the cabinet doors from the kitchen cabinets. Determine that the cabinet door has a wood panel in the door. If you have a solid door it is better to simply replace the doors than try to install glass panels. Remove the wood panel. Use a router to route cut away the inside edge of the door, allowing the panel to slide out of the door like a picture slides out of a picture frame. Use caution and avoid cutting the panel while removing the wood surrounding the panel. Clean the groove where the removed wood panel sat.
