The Google Toolbar is a browser add-on that allows you to conduct Google searches no matter where you are on the Internet. It installs in your Web browser and includes a variety of features such as autofill for forms, a pop-up blocker and Sidewiki, which lets you read comments from other toolbar users about the pages you visit. It is available for Internet Explorer and Firefox. Installing the Google toolbar is as easy as using it. Go to the Google Toolbar download page (see link in Resources) and click “Install Google Toolbar.” Choose Google as the default search engine and homepage under “Configure your toolbar,” if that’s what you want. Read the terms and agreement and click “Accept and Download.” Click “Save” and download the installation file on your desktop. Double-click the installation file on the desktop and click “Run.” The files are copied and the toolbar is installed on your computer. Close and relaunch your web browser.
