If you are an Xbox 360 gamer who prefers the feel of the PS3 thumbstick, you can modify your Xbox 360 controller by replacing the Xbox 360 thumbsticks with PS3 thumbsticks. Turn the controller upside down. Remove the battery pack from the controller and set aside. Unscrew and remove all six of the visible screws on the back of the controller with the T8 Torx security driver. Remove the bar code strip from the controller’s battery slot. Remove the seventh and final screw from the battery slot with the T8 Torx security driver. Push in on the thumbsticks, with the controller still upside down, to separate the two controller halves.
