How Do You Install RAM In Your Apple Imac With Powerpc Processor?

0

The Apple iMac with the PowerPC processor is easily one of the most popular Macs made, but it shipped with barely enough memory to support most popular applications. Luckily, adding more memory is not difficult. Power down your iMac and unplug all cables connected to the case, including the power cable. Wait 10 minutes to allow the iMac to cool down. Lay a towel on your work surface to prevent scratching the screen of your iMac. Lay the iMac face down on the towel. Unscrew the three screws on the bottom of the iMac. They will not come all the way out of the case so they can’t get lost. Lift up on the stand to remove the back cover. Locate the RAM modules on the right hand side of the case. Remove the RAM modules you are replacing by gently pressing apart the retaining clips on either side of the module. The module will pop up slightly. Slide the module out of the slot. Line up the new RAM with the slot, matching the notched edge with the tab in the bottom of the slot. Slide the module
