How Do You Install The Mustang Jet Chips Performance Chip?
If you want to increase the horsepower in your Mustang, it’s logical that you want to install the Mustang Jet performance chip. Jet performance chips tune the Mustang’s ECU to add more air, fuel and spark into the combustion chamber, thus adding horsepower through the entire RPM range. Adding the chip will require basic automotive hand tools and just a few minutes of your time. Open the engine hood and remove the negative battery cable with a 12-millimeter wrench. Remove the passenger sidekick panel by pulling outward on it to expose the ECU (electronic control unit) for the Mustang. Remove all of the electrical connectors from the ECU by pushing in on the security clips and then by pulling outward on the harness. There are three connectors in all. Plug the Jet performance chip into the ECU until it snaps into place. The performance chip will only fit into one plug because each connector is shaped differently.
