How Do You Insulate Existing Walls Easily?

0

Want to insulate an old wall that was never insulated? Non insulated walls can cost you a fortune in heating expenses. Some people put off the task because they think they can’t afford the costs of insulating their walls. However, Installing installation can be a simple do-it-yourself project with a little know how and the right tools. Here is a step by step guide to insulating existing walls. Locate the studs in your wall with a stud finder. Mark each side of every stud with a pencil. Cut a hole the diameter of your blower nozzle into the wall between each stud. Trace the outside of the nozzle onto the wall and cut it out with a jigsaw. Use a power drill with a large drill bit to start the hole. Be careful not to puncture any wires or pipes in the process. Place the loose fill insulation into your blower and begin filling the wall with insulation. Follow the manufacturers instructions for operating use. After the section of the wall is full, move on to the next section. Fill the holes
