Mimosa trees are stunningly beautiful when in bloom. Gardeners are generally taken by their unique beauty, but at the same time loath the upkeep of these finicky trees. Unfortunately, not only do they require quite a bit of tedious upkeep, but they are also prone to fungal diseases and pests. Mimosa trees don’t have a long life span due to their predisposition to vascular wilt, which is a fungus that destroys the roots of the tree and is especially common in areas in New Mexico. So how can you be sure that your Mimosa tree is dead? Check the Mimosa tree for yellowing leaves. The earlier signs of a dying Mimosa tree are leaves that are beginning to turn yellow.
