Back your trailer to the top of the launch ramp and wait briefly. Instruct your helper to attach the two launching/control lines to a forward mounted deck cleat and a stern cleat or eye mounted on the transom. Check the shaft of your outboard motor to ensure that it is tilted up. Also ensure that the stern drain plug is in place. Back down the ramp until the trailer tires are at the edge of the water. Place your vehicle in park and apply the emergency brake. While your helper removes the tie-down straps and stows them in your vehicle, remove the hook attached to the winch cable from the bow eye.
