So, it really depends on how technical you are, what you want to accomplish and what your budget is. Pretty much any technology you want to learn will have for-pay classes that you can take. For a certain kind of student, those are great. There are also good books (but you need to find them among the bad ones). I like the Teach Yourself Visually series of books very, very much. I taught myself PHP (a web-scripting language) and Macromedia Fireworks from these books. Is your goal to eventually get a job or is this personal satisfaction? Are you willing to start small? I’d suggest learning MS Office and VBA (the Office macro-programming language) to get started. This could give you enough skills to sell your time in that capacity and would also give you fundamental understanding of programming.
