How Do You Learn The Boxing Stance?

0

A good stance forms a boxer’s foundation. Being in the correct position allows you to deliver strong punches and gives you a solid base to absorb blows. Follow these steps to develop a good boxing stance. Place your feet shoulder-width apart. If you are right-handed, your right foot should be near the back and your left foot should be in the forward position; if you are left-handed, reverse the position of your feet. Your back foot should be at a comfortable 45-degree angle and your front foot should be facing forward. Shift your weight to the balls of your feet and distribute it evenly. Bend your knees slightly. Move your fists to cheekbone level with your palms facing in. If you are right-handed, your left hand should be positioned slightly forward and your right hand should be tucked in so it is ready to block a punch. Keep your elbows in and your chin down. Keep your elbows tucked in and your shoulders relaxed.
