As a stay at home mom with a part time business, I know what it’s like to be tight on finances. It’s important to know that you can live happily on less money than you think!! You’ve just got be smart with your money and your purchases. Below are a few tips for you to work with what you have. KNOW WHAT YOU MAKE- THE EXACT AMOUNT: Know exactly what you have to work with every month, so there are no surprises. KNOW WHAT YOU PAY IN BILLS: Keep a running log of what you pay in bills every month. Try using excel and have it total as you go. Once you’ve done this you can estimate what you need for bills every month. CUT BACK WHERE YOU CAN: Take a closer look at your grocery, phone, electric, gas, car, water bills etc. Could you be using less water? Could you go down to a lower phone plan? Are you clipping coupons, buying what’s on special, or planning your meals around what’s on sale? There are so many ways to cut down on bills. Get creative!
