Created entirely from cheap items, and held together using glue and tape, this car can be created quickly and provide plenty of fun as it rushes around a room. Cut one straw into two portions, 2 inches long each, and the skewers into one 6-inch portion each, and discard the remainder. Cut a piece of balsa wood, 4 inches by 6 inches. Glue the two cut pieces of drinking straw to the top of the balsa wood, about 1/2-inch in from each 4-inch side of the wood, running parallel to the 4-inch side. Glue a bottle cap to one end of each skewer, positioning the skewer so that it is in the center of the cap, so that it will rotate evenly. Apply a ring of hot glue around the straws about 1/2-inch in from the bottle cap. Each ring is applied individually. Do not glue the straws together.
