How Do You Make A Bootable CD Disk?

0

A bootable CD (Compact Disk) is created by burning the appropriate boot sector files to a disk from an ISO image file. These boot sectors allow the computer to see the CD as a bootable volume. Creation of a CD bootable disk requires only a boot ISO file and a CD burner to complete. CD boot disks allow for system diagnostics to be performed outside the operating system. These disks also allow for manipulation of other hardware that may not be allowed by the operating system while it is running. Insert a CD recordable disk into the CD burning drive. Navigate to the boot disk ISO file in Windows Explorer. Right click the ISO file to produce a standard context menu. Select the “Burn Disk Image” heading from the context menu that appears. Select the CD recordable drive from the pull down box located next to the “Disk Burner” heading. Click the “Burn” button to begin the boot CD creation procedure. A progress bar appears to keep you apprised of the completion status. A dialog box will appear
