Their simplicity makes it a perfect craft project for kids. Measure around your wrist with a flexible tape measure. Cut the two yards of thin rope into six 12-inch strips. Measure three inches from one end of the rope, and tie off the six strips at that point, leaving three inches at one end of the rope. Place the excess rope under a heavy book to keep it steady as you braid. Divide the rope strips into three groups of two. Braid about six inches of rope until you have three inches left at the other end. Tie off the rope. The remaining three inches on either end are used to tie the bracelet around your wrist.
