How Do You Make A Christmas Tree Art Project Using Construction Paper And Fruit Loops Cereal?

Art projects in elementary school can be fun and also very easy. This project can be used for any grade. Make a Christmas tree decorated with colorful cereal as ornaments. Have a completed project to show the students so they know what to do and what it should look like. Create a tree pattern that the students can trace and cut out of green construction paper. I usually make about 10 patterns so they get passed around quickly. Pass out all materials. Students will use a colorful cereal such as Fruit Loops to decorate their tree. The cereal rings make great ornaments on the tree. I also let them draw ornaments with crayons to add more detail. To add a little more detail put some glue on the end of the branches and sprinkle silver glitter to add a snow detail to the tree. I also make sure I have enough left over for the students to have a little snack. To keep everyone working quielty, I play Christmas music in background.
