How Do You Make A Clay Pot Fountain?
Here is our clay pot fountain I made for our front porch. We keep this water feature going year round for the birds and squirrels. The checklist of pots I’m providing here is how I made ours. You can mix and match pots any way you want. The 10″ saucer is a must. Pretty soon you’ll will have an outdoor fountain of your very own! Start out by sealing each clay piece with a spray water sealer like Thompson’s. Apply at least two coats. Let dry thoroughly between each coat. Next, select a level spot. As you can see from the picture, we flipped a whiskey half-barrel upside down and used that. Place the 10″ saucer on top of the 9″ bowl. Attach the pump to the tubing. Wet the 10″ saucer a bit and stick the pump to the saucer in the desired spot. Take the 6″ pot and etch a small notch in the top lip of the pot.
