A denim bedspread is a cool way to stay warm. Denim has a young, fresh and hip vibe, but it is also an easy fabric to work with. The more you wash it, the softer it gets and the cooler it looks as it gets worn out. On the side of the bed, place the measuring tape at the point where you want the finished bedspread to hit. Bring it over the top of the bed and down to the same point on the opposite side. Add about an inch for the seam allowance. This will be the width of your bedspread. Do the same for the length of your bed. Make sure it hits the same distance from the floor as in the first step. Add an inch or so for the seam allowance. Purchase your fabric and poly filling.
