How Do You Make A Dirty Pina Colada?
Maybe you’ve had a nice pina colada in Hawaii, or possibly a lovely one made right in your own blender, but have you ever had a “dirty” pina colada? Try it for a twist on an old favorite! Step 1 Fill your blender half way with ice. Step 2 Pour 1/2 cup of cream of coconut over ice. Step 3 Pour 1/2 cup of pineapple juice over ice. Step 4 Pour 1/3 cup light rum over ice. Step 5 Blend. If it’s too watery, add more ice and reblend. It should be a thick but pourable slush. Step 6 Pour into glasses until there’s only a 1/2 inch of room left at the top of the glass. There are pina colada-specific glasses, but any good wine glass will do. Step 7 Fill a shot glass with dark rum and pour over top of the white pina colada — the dark rum should make nice brown rivers down the inside of the glass. Step 8 Garnish with paper umbrellas, and a skewered slice of pineapple with a cherry. Step 9 Serve and enjoy!
