Take the tape measure and measure around the neck of your dog. You will want to make sure that the collar is a little loose, so that it does not choke the dog. Measure around the body of the dog, and then add 8 inches to that measurement. Take a butter knife, and heat the blade until it is hot enough to melt the webbing. Hold the handle end of the knife with a pot holder. Press the blade against a piece of webbing that is as long as the measurements that you made earlier.
