How Do You Make A Fake “Office” (Kids)?
• First you need to decide where to put your office. It could be anywhere from under the stairs, to a small unused room, to a closet. • Once you’ve done that clean out everything in there. • Now the FUN begins! First, stroll around your house, looking for typical office supplies (metal or plastic file cabinets, pens, pencils, crayons, markers, binders, folders, laptops, computers, etc., etc,depending on your job, or business that you need this office for.)Then go set that up however you like in your office. • Get a cheap cell phone or use walkie talkies, an intercom, or a build your own phone kit, and use that to call clients. Another idea is a tin can and string telephone if you are just playing in the office. Get a little black/white board to write plans in the background.
Pick what space you want in your home. You are going to want a clean and clutter free area to work in. A place free from stepping on Lego’s and peanut butter finger prints! lol clutter in the room makes clutter and stress in your head which makes it hard for you to focus. Move some things around if you need to. squish a few things in the closets. thats the beauty of closets. They have a door which no one has to see or open haha. now that you have found your little slice of calmness decorate it!! start simple and work your way up. you dont want to run out to target and buy every type of office supply that you can find or you will have clutter again and will end up with 1,000 paperclips and 20 random binders and folders you don’t know what to do with cause they looked cute at the time. Now think of your reason for the office. was it for a job or just to work on some bills and paper work? thing of the items that you will mainly use for the job. such a a computer. pens and pencil’s. file cabinet? etc. put up some cool inspirational and motivating quotes. maybe some cute and simple art work to hang up and of course an adorable picture of your family. If this was a fake office for your kids then i am sorry as i am writing this for having “mom brain” and not thinking… but hey at least you got some good feedback on an office for yourself!! As for kids you can fallow the same kind of guide lines. empty and area or corner of the room and put a little desk and chair in it. some papers and crayons and get a fake toy phone for you and the kids to play with. maybe play dress up and let the kids pick out their “work clothes” so they can feel like they are really getting ready for work in the office. maybe pretend to be the secretary and go on the other side of the room and make telephones with string and cans to speak with them.
