Choose the flower you want to create out of your decorative paper. For example, to create a peony, rose and tulip gift box floral lid, draft a teardrop shape 1 inch wide by 2 inches long on your pattern paper. Use a French curve ruler to shape one end of your teardrop. The opposite end will finish as a contoured point and will be the petal’s base. You will need three separate teardrops.
