How Do You Make A Gable Box From Construction Paper?
Gable boxes work well for party favors, food carriers and gift boxes. You can make a gable box from construction paper and decorate it for any occasion. Make small pastel colored gable boxes for tiny pieces of groom’s cake or mints for a wedding favor. Bigger boxes are roomy enough for a t-shirt gift or a batch of cookies. Choose a pattern or unfold a recyclable gable box you have received as a favor or food tote. Place unfolded box on to a piece of lightweight cardboard and trace around each section completely. Be sure to make a dashed line at each folded portion of the pattern. Cut out the pattern. Photocopy the pattern and reduce or enlarge if you need a different size. Trace around the pattern on to construction paper. Cut out the gable box paper. Be sure to cut out the small sections with a craft knife on a cutting pad or thick cardboard. Add any stickers, rubber stamped images or artwork to decorate the body of the box at this time. Use a bone folder or craft stick to fold every
