By following my steps to create a gourmet gift basket, you can save on your holiday shopping while still giving in style. Find out if your gift recipient has any food allergies or preferences. This is probably the most overlooked of all steps, but surely the most important. An easy way to find this out, without giving away the surprise, is to simply pay attention to what he or she eats.
