Halloween is full of trick or treating, costume parties, and many creature-themed activities. If you want to add a little Halloween fun to your festivities, then creating a Halloween themed piñata is one of the best ways to go. Making a homemade spider piñata is as much fun to make as it is to knock down! Create the paper mache mix. Mix together a bowl of water and flour, using 2 times the amount of water as flour. Mix well for about a minute. Cut old newspaper into shreds. The shreds should be about 3 inches long and about 1 inch wide. Blow a round balloon until it is nearly full. The bigger the balloon, the bigger the piñata will be. Dip shreds of newspaper into the paper mache mix and start placing them around the balloon. Continue this process until the whole balloon is covered with about 3 layers of newspaper. Let the balloon dry overnight.
