On the first handkerchief, use a pencil to mark on the wrong side of the handkerchief the outline of the doll including the head, arms and body as shown in the diagram. Place the two handkerchiefs together, right sides facing each other, and sew on the lines marked in the diagram. Tear the cotton wadding or filling up into small pieces and push into body up to the head, pack in tightly to make the round head. Continue to stuff to fill the chest area up until it is tightly packed. The rest of the body can be filled more loosely. The opening is closed by a line of stitches. The face may be marked with pen, pencil or with paint according to your taste or capability. You can even use a few stitches in different colors to embroider the face if you wish.
