How Do You Make A Handprint Wreath?
You don’t need to wait for the holidays to decorate your home with a keepsake handprint wreath. Your children will love spending an afternoon painting, crafting and making a treasured memory with you. Learn how you can create a timeless handprint wreath with your kids in a few quick and easy steps. Start with a circle. Draw or trace a large circle (approximately the size of a dinner plate) onto white poster board. Pour tempura paint into a large paint tray (disposable aluminum foil pans also work well.) Make sure that you have a separate tray for each color you are adding to the wreath. Help your child dip his or her hands into the paint. You’ll want the child’s hand to be lightly covered in paint, but not soaked. Assist your child as they press their painted palms down on the paper. Make sure the base of their palm is lined up with the circle you drew in step one. Repeat step four, making sure that the handprints are slightly overlapped.
