Macramé bracelets made with hemp or similar cord are easy and popular. Slip some beads in to personalize it, and you’ve got a great project that you can wear within minutes. Although hemp is a popular medium for this bracelet, you can use cotton or leather cord. The beads should have fairly large holes (big enough to slide two cords through,) or you can use nylon thread, or even unwaxed dental floss, for the short cord (called the filler cord.) Small beads with large holes work best. If the beads are larger than the knots, the cord will slide around them. If you use beads with small holes, substitute nylon fishing line for the filler cord. Cut two lengths of cord; one about 6 feet long, and the other about 15 inches long. Fold the cords in half and fasten them to a secure surface. A clipboard works great. Leave a loop just big enough to slip a bead through. (For this demonstration, I’ve fused together extra wide cord in two colors to make it easy to see.) Make 2 square knots. Slide the
