How Do You Make A Hemp Keychain?
Making a hemp key chain is easy, inexpensive and fun. Using three very basic macrame knots, even a beginner can create a masterpiece on the first try. The materials you’ll need are commonly available from discount, department and craft stores. Cut a 6-yard length of cord from the roll of hemp. Cut that into two 3-yard cords. Hold the two cords together in your left hand, making sure that the ends are even. Fold them in half, creating two semi-loops. Cut the ends of the cords in your right hand, creating four separate cords. Attach the cords to the key ring by passing the folded loop through the ring, then drawing the ends of the cords evenly through the loops. Pull the ends of the cords to tighten the half-hitch knot onto the key ring. Use masking tape to secure the key ring to a flat working surface, such as a table top.
