Depending of the size of the coin purse you want to make, you can use the pockets off adult, child or even infant sized jeans. They make great gifts and a marketable craft idea. You’ll only need a few materials and they won’t cost a great deal of money. This project you can sew by hand or with a sewing machine. Remove two back pockets from a pair of jeans. Remove them using a seam ripper so that you don’t accidentally damage the pocket itself. The pockets will need to be the same size so it is best to use two pockets from the same pair of pants. Sew one side of the zipper to the top backside of one pocket. Be sure to line up the closure end of the zipper with the corner of the pocket so you’re able to zipper the purse closed when you’re done.
