Smoothies are a great way to get a vitamin-rich meal on the run. A lot of companies are now mass-producing smoothies but they won’t pack the punch that a homemade smoothie will. Read on to learn how to make a low-fat berry smoothie. Clean your fresh berries and let them drain on a paper towel placed on a plate. Cut the strawberries in half. Place one cup of fat-free plain yogurt and 1 cup fat-free milk in a blender. Put 1/3 cup of blueberries, 1/3 cup of raspberries and ½ cup of strawberries in the blender. Add one tablespoon of your favorite protein powder and one tablespoon of flax seeds. Flax seeds are rich in Omega 3 fatty acids and are known to boost immunity as well as giving your metabolism a boost. Blend all of the ingredients until the smoothie is at your desired consistency. If you prefer a little thinner smooth, add milk a tablespoon at a time blending between each addition. Pour your low-fat berry smoothie into a glass or cup and enjoy!
