How Do You Make A Math Game?
• Pick a game you like. Board games and good games to make into math games. Clue, Sorry, Life, Scene It?, and even Twister are good games that can be made into math games. Or, something like soccer, basketball, or football can be transformed into a fun math game. • Now is when you need to get creative. How can you make this noneducational but fun game into something education and fun? It can’t be boring or uninteresting, but it has to envolve your topic or what you are learning. For an example, we will pick the easy card game Go Fish. • Once you’ve got your game idea and game, check out the rules for the game once more. Go Fish is simple. Make a match. If you don’t have the card someone is looking for, you say Go Fish. • Now, you have to make the pieces. Make sure they are sturdy. If you do Go Fish, you will need many thick pieces of paper cut into rectangles. For our game, we are using simple addition to make a math game. • Label your game pieces or add things to make them look pretty
