Ingredients: 3/4 c. sugar 1/4 c. clear cherry brandy or regular brandy 1 16oz bag frozen pitted dark cherries, halved (thaw & leave undrained) 1/4 tsp cinnamon 2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder 2 ounces bittersweet (not unsweetened) or semisweet chocolate, chopped 1/2 stick unsalted butter, cut into small pieces 2 egg yolks 1 egg 2 tsp all purpose flour powdered sugar (for “garnish”) Fresh mint leaves Pour the cherries and juice in saucepan and combine 1/2 cup of sugar, brandy, and cinnamon in a saucepan.
